Reply:Hello; since you used the word "Mates" I'm guessing you're from England or Australia... not certain if this will work for you, but I can go to http://members.yahoo.com (in the US) and go to advanced search, and simply look for members by name, age, location, etc. be as specific, or general as you want, to alter your results! I recently did a search for ONLINE members in my geographic location, with photos... there were only a few members... and this doesnt guarantee they'll want to chat with ya!





Another way, use Skype messenger, to find local users (or, not so local... your choice) and see if they've got Y! messenger. Since USA Yahoo has the members feature... I'm assuming your locale will as well

Reply:why not use the search function in ayhoo 360 to look for either people in your own geograpihcal area or who share the same interests or hobbies as you?





or look at peoples details on here, under profiles by clicking on peoples ID names, then you can see if they use 360 or messenger etc. send a message to those you find interesting and ask if they mind you adding them to your contacts.
