try joining a gym or a club (such as book or art ) anything that interests you. see if there are any classes or courses that you could become invovled in and get to know others.

Reply:I met most of my friends at work....but it worked out in the end because one friend introduced me to their friend that didnt work with us and that friend introduced me to another friend...etc.....
