Where would you go to meet new friends?

I don't really want to go to pubs on my own and it's usually just blokes who I get talking to in those places. I have thought of studying. The only clubs I can find in my area are for the elderly or parents of which I am neither. I work 25 miles away from where I live and it would be difficult to meet up regularly with people from work. I have tried volunteer work close to home but there was no opportunity to meet other volunteers.

Where would you go to meet new friends?

Reply:if you are not shy, you could start a conversation wherever you are, and hopefully meet decent people. and start from there.


try chatting to neighbours, thats a good start.

like I mean I've got a group of close friends but I want a big circle of friends....I've also been thinking this....


I think if ur a friendly and not shy person then u can just like start talking to people at the mall....or join some classes like aerobics or somthin....

I go to a mega church, so there's always many new people to meet all the time.





I also play in a band and orchestra. That's a great way to meet people.





You could take up a class on something you're interested in, and meet people there.

Reply:hi, this is a question that beats a lot of people. you could try enrolling for a course at your local college there are lots of courses available and please believe me it is totally different from being at school.other than that look in your local library or your local paper for ad, where there are things going on that you might like to join in with or volenteer for.good luck .
