Friends you meet online?

Is it good to have friends online, but not in real life. If two online friends were to meet in person, would they know eachother well. Like know the person when they seem them and start talking like they were talking in real life the whole time. You get what I'm saying right

I think that people are more "open" on-line than in real life, so while you meet somebody on-line you know more about him/her, know more about his/her deep feelings, personality than if you knew them in real life. If you meet them they may seem different and you might feel cheated, but actually it's not because they were lying to you, it's because in real life we all try to put on the mask to fit in society.
Reply:why wouldn't be good to have friends online. i think it is a fun way to meet new friends. i think it depends on the person and on how close u r on how u will act towards each other when u meet. i think the most important things are to be urself and make than feel comfortable
