State "you are not looking for romance" and see if this doesn't deter some of those who seek pleasure on the web and not friendship. There are a lot of people who don't want to have any sexual contact that just enjoy having someone else to talk to. Given a few minutes, you can usually find out what they are actually looking for.

When you post a profile in whatever kind of site you find, state any sexual overtones or foul language will not be tolerated or responded to. I never say anything sexual until I am asked to.
