How could a 12 year old boy bully victim and a 25 yr old bored woman meet and be friends?

I mean just friends, obviously..They are two characters in my English essay...great characters but I dont know how to make them meet and BEGIN to form a relationship....





Any ideas?

How could a 12 year old boy bully victim and a 25 yr old bored woman meet and be friends?
Maybe in a library - he's hiding from bullies in the stacks and she, an avid reader, stumbles across him. Or a sporting goods store, or wedding dress shop, or a pet store.

Reply:they could meet at a book store or something. you could have the 12 year old looking at a book and the 25 year old see him and tell him its a good book and it can start off from there. or think of something that they both like to do and have them meet at a place where you do that, or just have them bump into each other randomly somewhere.

Reply:The woman sees the boy being bullied on his way home from school, and she goes and tells the bullies to scram and asks him if he is alright and stuff. He is really grateful to her and keeps talking to her, and she is annoyed with him, but secretly enjoys his talking. So she ends up chatting back and they become friends.
