I do, both cheeks - guys and guys - I have a lot of European friends so it's not that unusual, but I think a lot of English people aren't used to it. But sometimes I do it when first meeting people too.
And, no I don't mean their buttocks.
What about you?
When you meet up with friends do you kiss cheeks?
dah!!! i am russian!!! we do this allll time!!!!
Reply:depends on the friends and how I am feeling that day, I was a little over excited the other day and was kissing everyone who turned up at my dad's birthday, I kissed a woman who I've know all my life and she looked like I'd flashed her, not disgusted, just not quite sure how to respond
I don't kiss people when I first meet them as it's a bit too forward and you never know how people are about personal space
Reply:think i would get knocked out if i did that with any of my mates
Reply:Rarely
Reply:only boys
Reply:I used to when I was younger, not so much anymore, just a quick peck on the cheek when I am saying goodbye.
Reply:If it's someone I haven't seen in a while and if it would be comfortable for both of us (body language), then I give them a hug, no kissing.
Reply:No, I never kiss them, and verrrrrry rarely hug them.
Reply:No, I hate this practice. I live in Germany, and it seems to be the thing to do when you meet friends, but I don't like all this hugging and kissing. My personal space is sacred to me, and I don't like it when people get that close to me.
Reply:Yeah, but only if they feel comfortable with it. Usually girls, but also other guys when I'm meeting up with my Italian friends. I think it's a very civilised custom and I wish people in Britain were more friendly and less uptight.
Reply:usally ill give em a big hug
Reply:i'm English and I do it with girls and guys. just one kiss. One guy i know and have known for ages now double kisses me when he sees me- i never do and it always ends up in a nose clash- bit of a nightmare. i like the one kiss thing when you see someone- its nice. Yeah it might freak sme people out but they'll get over it.
Reply:No we just hug.
Reply:A lot of my friends do. I'm 43 and i never experienced kissing on cheeks. I tend to feel embarassed. lol
Reply:when I meet up with my bf i kiss him on the lips... but I guess thats different lol
Reply:It depends on how good the friend is.
RN
Reply:I don't do that ever unless the other person wants to.
I usually just hug my friends if I haven't seen them in awhile.
Reply:Don't, i respect that you can do what you want, but in north America we don't do that. Please do it to ppl you know, and leave me out of it.
Reply:In the US people are not used to kiss in both cheeks so no i don't.... When i go to Spain or I'm around Europeans then that's another thing, its customary to kiss both
Reply:No, I just hug.
Reply:well i do,,,
Reply:Yes, but then again I have lived in Athens Greece for the past 33 years and it is the done thing here.
Reply:i use to do it until i came to America...... there not so used to it so i stopped.....but i stiill do it with my family...
Reply:Women only
Reply:Yea, I'm English and have always kissed both cheeks, to men and women. All my friends and family do too. In an informal situation, I dont remember the last time I greeted someone without a kiss on the cheek...
Reply:depends which friends, some i do some i dont. usually jus go for a hug
Reply:yeah, lately, but it's a joke.
Reply:depends on the friend if it's close friend then lots of kisses and hugs otherwise a handshake
Reply:Not just cheeks but lips too!
(a peck on the lips)
Thats friends though, not first time meeting people
Reply:No I don't like kissing people. I also don't like people who do that with me. It's too close to my personal bubble.
Reply:No, not really
