If possible, would you like to meet your online friends? Why or why not?

Just curious if anyone out there would like to meet their online friends if given the chance. Or you would rather not because you don't wish to get dislussioned? Please tell me your choice.

I did meet an online friend once. He lived in Canada and he came all the way to Indiana to stay with me for a few days. It was a lot different than just talking on the phone or on the computer and you know what? We haven't talked since and we had been friends on the internet for two years. It really sucked. I feel so bad about it. I was having a pretty tough time in life though, so maybe if circumstances had been different, it would have worked out better.

Reply:in real life our eye contact and body language are much higher involved by about 70% -i think so-.. so we are totally different on the net as we neglect more than 70% of our communication channels..





moreover i don't like online friends as long as i don't meet them in real life..
Reply:I would definintely want to meet them! Preferably at some gathering of common interest, like at church or at a dance or the county fair or something. Since most of my online friends share the same interests as me I bet it'd be lots of fun to meet.
Reply:well, I have a great friend that I chat with on-line and i would like to meet her becuase she seems like a nice person. but with guys; I'd be more suspicious!
