Where can I meet some local friends ages 21-27 that are not into the bar scene?

I can not meet them at Church because there is really no one else at Church my age. And since I am the minister I can't just change churches.

Secondly, I am currently not in school so I can't meet them through college.

I am 24 and married so female friends probably aren't the best. LoL

Why do they need to be 21-27? I think that's being a little age prejudiced if you ask me. I wouldn't mind having a friend who was 30 or even late 30s to early 40s. I think you should start hanging out with people you have in common. Normally people 21 to 27 aren't married and have kids (at least the majority of them --in the early to mid twenties). Really, you shouldn't be restrictive in making friends with just 20 year olds. There's a whole lot of lonely people out there, I believe, and they can be your friend. Anyone can be your potential friend. Especially ones with spouses and kids. Those are more in your range since you have experienced them, they can have someone to talk to about their kids and spouses. But yeah since you're not in college, trying meeting them at church (i'm sure those church goers know someone your age) .
Reply:Wow, thank you for the best answer! However, I thought the second answer was quite good too! Report It

Reply:You need a young couples group at your church. If you don't have one at your church, a bigger church nearby will have one.

You and your wife need to have friends together.

Churches also have men's groups...like "Promise Keepers".

If you are "alergic" to church groups, try getting involved n a club or activity...a service club, bowling league, or volunteer group, etc.
