Where is the best place for middle aged people to meet friends. That are not wacko's?

Try this, or at least poke around and see if you find anything you like, or maybe create one: http://www.meetup.com/

I would guess that half the people are over 40.

Reply:You have to be cautious, wackos are everywhere!

There are wackos everywhere-there is no place safe.

What makes it ok to venture out into the world is YOU.

YOU and your life experience can help you figure out who is acting weird or not, what you can do to protect yourself, and that if something bad does happen, you can handle it.

Confidence is contagious.

Best advice: Get involved in something you care about.LIke the GYM, homeless people, karate class, growing roses, writing class, or painting, bowling, anything where there are men/women you like to be around involved.

If you are doing something you love, and accidently meet someone there, then you start out with something wonderful in common.

You get to see them involved with others, how they act under pressure, whether they are sober or have "issues." All good things to know.

Then, go SLOW. Never let anyone know where you live until you know where THEY live, work and bank.

TAKE care of YOU first, and then you will want to be careful meeting new friends. They will make room for you at their own pace.

I met my honey and some dear friends at a church social. We go to the movies, plays, rallies for peace, and such together. We are involved in politics together.

The main thing is to become more YOU and you will attract people to you.
