Please no specific names of places, as I'm not sure as to where in Greece I'll be this summer. I know they often hang out at the bouzoukia... anywhere else?
What's the best way to approach them without them throwing rocks at me? (Seeing as that I live in the U.S.) I'm Greek, though- and fluent in the language, so that shouldn't be a big problem.
Where's the best place for teens to meet friends/guys in Greece?
Cafeterias are the equivalent of the US malls for teens' gathering places. The matter of approaching strangers is a little touchy and depends on how much of an extrovert you are. Be humble and do no show any arrogance. You are Greek as you say who happens to live in the USA.
If you have any friends or relatives of approximately the same age, that will be your best ticket to introducing yourself to new acquaintances.
Cafeterias as defined by Greek teens are usually fast food
places like "Goodies" etc. where teens gather with their parea, shoot the bull and have some "frappe". Be ready to drink a lot of coffee!
Parakalo!
